On Sunday evening we went to the King’s Theatre in Edinburgh to see No Such Thing As A Fish. It’s a podcast from the people behind the TV show QI, it’s one of my husband’s favourites and this was his birthday treat.
No Such Thing As A Fish: In No Particular Order
Dan, James, Anna and Andy will be taking their fact-filled tomfoolery to all corners of the British Isles and across Europe, performing their most Northerly, Southerly, Easterly and Westerly shows to date.
The first half of the show each member of the team pitched what they thought should be next for NSTAAF, from a movie to a political party, to a song (Baby Shark style). Each individually thought out and hilarious. Then was intermission, perfect time to nip to the loo and grab a wee gin and tonic.
The second part of the show was as you can regularly hear online; the podcast.
Everyone brings their favourite fact they’ve discovered that week and it’s discussed across the team. Everyone pitching in and sharing what else they know about the fact and other facts they’ve stumbled across doing the research. You’ll have to tune in to discover this episode’s facts though, because my silly brain has forgotten all of them! Whoops! All I can say is there was plenty of laughter and I did learn things, which I have since forgotten. Just like school then.
If you’ve yet to discover NSTAAF, you really should. Especially if you’re like my husband and like facts. You can find it here:
Let me know what you think if you check it out!
