So I’m currently suffering from insomnia, I don’t sleep at all at night. I am getting 3-4 hours sleep napping in the afternoon/early evening. Sometimes my brain races going through stressful or mundane things, sometimes my head is empty but I still cannot sleep.
Things I’ve done to try to get to sleep:
Hot milky drinks,
Read a book,
Read online articles,
Get up for a bit,
Go to bed earlier/later,
Cuddled a purring cat,
Try not to nap (failing on this one).
Any suggestions on what else to try?
Things I’ve done to pass the time at night:
Watched a LOT of TV,
Cuddled a cat,
Drink cups of tea,
Shopped on Ebay,
Done household admin (you’d think that would put me to sleep),
Even washed the dishes!
And now written a blog post.
Any thoughts on what else to do to pass the time?
So I’m stuck in this cycle of long days and long nights, hopefully the doctors have something to help. I’m seeing my GP on Monday and someone from the mental health team on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
