Have you heard about Happiful? I recently discovered it and I love it. It's a magazine devoted to Mental Health, brimming with helpful and positive articles.
Happiful describe the magazine as:
We’re on a mission to create a healthier, happier, more sustainable society. Our aim is to provide informative, inspiring and topical stories about mental health and wellbeing. We want to break the stigma of mental health in our society, and to shine a light on the positivity and support that should be available for everyone, no matter their situation.
So not only is it an interesting magazine, which I have found useful, it's completely free online! Wait? What?! I know - It just gets better and better.
You can of course buy it in print, but to subscribe to read it for free, do so here.
The latest issue contained some helpful tips on Reacting Vs. Responding, recommended Books for All Ages, insightful interviews about Individual Experiences (both celebrities and everyday people) and an excellent piece about Returning to Work after time off due to mental illness.
Having lost my job earlier this year and still being signed off from working, it gave me some peace and hope for when I am doing better again. Helped me to feel better about my frustrating situation.
I also like how the magazine is littered with inspirational quotes on images, makes it feel very friendly.
In the previous edition (July) there was an inspiring piece on being Kinder to Yourself which just spoke to me.
I loved it because I strongly believe that kindness to all is the best way for us to live. I just need to remember the self-kindness part, I sometimes forget. and this article had some great tips.
Finally there's a brilliant page on where to get help/advice, find it here.
Let me know if you read it and what you think.
